Thai-Israel Chamber of Commerce was established in November 1989 by the initiation of the then Ambassador of Israel to Thailand. Mr. Amarin Khoman, the president of Thai Star Group Co., Ltd. GSA of El Al Israel Airlines was requested to be the founder of the chamber. Mr. Amarin Khoman proceeded the application under the Chamber Laws to the Ministry of Commerce. The main objective of the chamber was to strengthen business relationship and to enlarge the trade volume between Thailand and Israel.

Since the establishment, the chamber has worked closely with the Embassy of Israel. The Ambassador has been permanent Honorary Patron of the chamber and always provided strong support and cooperation to the chamber. The outcome deriving from the collaboration of the embassy and the chamber was tremendous and formed a sturdy pedestal for the jumping of trade volume and enhance of relationship of the two countries. The chamber has been organizing business delegation to visit Israel regularly and vice versa the chamber has welcome visiting Israeli delegations to Thailand too. Many Israeli manufacturers and exporters approached the chamber for assistance of arranging counter part meeting with potential buyers in Bangkok and many deals have been accomplished.

In fact, Thailand and Israel are the most appropriate strategic business partners because Thailand has retained wealthy natural resources of all types including skill labour at low cost. Yet, Thailand has run short of advance technologies and proficiency in management. While Israel has possessed valuable know hows of world renown high-tech industry and proficiency in management but Israel is in dearth of natural resources and labour. Moreover, Thailand stands on the best geographical location in the Southeast Asia region which serves as gateway to all countries in the region. The door for business opportunities between Thailand and Israel has been widely opened through the cooperation of Thai Israel Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Economic & Trade Affairs of the Embassy of Israel in Bangkok.

Thai-Israel Chamber of Commerce is in continuation to improve its services with best effort to provide to members and business communities in fostering business link and enlarging trade investment between Thailand and Israel.
